Does the Zeno acne machine really work?
My daughter wants to get one, but they're expensive, and it sounds
hokey -- but the magazines seem to say it works. Does anyone on this
board have firsthand experience with this gadget?
If she has a lot of breakouts, it may not be cost (or
time) effective, since each replacement head ($35) is good for 90
treatments and each treatment is a 2 1/2 minute cycle and each pimple
will need at least 2 or 3 treatments. But for mild to moderate acne, it
works like a dream (for me anyway!). You have to pay attention and zap
each pimple as soon as you feel it starting to come on, because it won't
work on "established" ones. And it works with targeted heat, so it may
leave a red spot on the skin for a couple hours afterward.
And it does come with a warranty, though I can't tell you how good it is
since I had no need to return mine!
