White Gold Diamond Heart Bracelet.
I wear mostly silver pieces with a few gold or mixed things thrown in (I wear a
gold ring and a silver ring every day). My earrings tend to be delicate dangly
things, same with necklaces. I do have a few longer pendants and crystals, and
lately I've been getting into beaded choker type things. Most of my jewelry is
cheap, I mean really cheap, like 3 pairs of earrings for 5 bucks cheap. And you
know what's really funny? I get *tons* of compliments on my cheapy earrings! So
I guess I have a flair for pulling off cheap jewelry. I *think* this is a good
thing!
I'll pass along these little tidbits that I just learned about white gold.
White gold is actually yellow gold with a coating such as rhodium to make it
look white. As it gets older and worn more, it will begin to lose the
coating. That's why platinum is the better choice if you like white gold
(and can afford it!) because it's the same color through and through. I'm
not sure but maybe your items could be re-dipped. I'd check with a good
jeweler...it's worth a shot.
usually gold stuffs bought from some
mysterious Chinese lady vendor... Now I only look at those pieces and
veer away from gold in general (except for small earrings). I like
silver and LOVE pearls, particularly cream or pinkish ones.
