wedding rings/finger swelling .
Reading Karen's post reminded me of a question I wanted to ask. Did any
of you get a larger ring for when your wedding ring didn't fit anymore?
I was thinking of getting a simple silver band to wear later on but
wasn't sure how many sizes to go up (I'd probably buy it as soon as
needed and grow into it).
Well, reading this thread is making me cry. I lost my wedding set last
Thursday. I know where I left it, and when I went back to get it, it was
gone. We've looked EVERYwhere. I figure Dh's daughter picked it up and won't
say where it is (she has taken jewelry from me twice before and she was the
only one in that room at the time). I keep thinking she probably took it to
her mom's when she went to visit for the weekend (like she did with my son's
baby ring). And I just can't help but bawl everytime I imagine DH's ex
sitting there wearing my ring! Yes, I know, she didn't for sure take it, but
the thought of it makes me cry. And hearing some of you say how you could
never wear a replacement...well, this is exactly how I have felt. Even if
we had the money to go out right now and buy an exact replica, it just
wouldn't be the same. Yet another part of me says, it's just a material
object, don't obsess over it. So, just to avoid that "naked" feeling from
not wearing a ring there, I'm wearing my great grandmother's wedding set.
It does make me feel a little better, just to have something there....but
it's still not the same. I better stop, before I cry again. Sorry, I just
needed to vent a little, and this thread reminded me of that.
