I understand that silver turns into an antique finish when exposed to
atmosphere in a few months, but is there a quick, chemical way of getting
an antique finish for bright silver jewellery?
There are products available such as Silver Black or Liver of Sulfur
that are meant for antiquing silver that can be purchased through
jewellery supply places.
If it is just silver -no stones- place it in bleach (yes the household
laundry type). It will darken to a gray-light black.
