Vintage Collectible Jewelry
Did anyone besides me notice that "Vendo'm" in the ?brass ?plated clasp is
not spelled the way the fine jewelry manufacturer Vendome spells its name?
And that Vendome sells gemstone jewelry, not glass?
And that they appear to be a vendor of vintage jewelry, not a manufacturer?
actually, I have no idea what that link refers to but they say they had
their first sale in 1995 so that can't possibly be the real Vendome.
Vendome was the "high end" arm of Corocraft (aka Coro Jewelry Company). I am
pretty sure that both went out of business a long time ago. It is vintage
,collectible costume jewelry and my favorite thing in the world. They are most
famous for their wide useage of Swarovski crystals. This is my take on it:
they used some innovative stringing and bead cap techniques, some of which I am
going to chronicle on a webpage.
