Anything I Can Do?

I am getting a mortgage and my offer has been sent however Nationwide

wont tell me when in June i will be paying my first payment (possibly 2

x contractual payments of £643 due to interest purposes) until the

sale has been completed.

Therefore,

i still pay rent up until move in date of £100 per week

Nationwide wants over £1200 off me back end of June 05

CSA now want £337 off me back end of june also!!

council tax payment will increase by £20

What do i do???

Is there anything i can do. Do i risk sending CSA a reduced payment and

suffer a possible DEO or what??

Money wont stretch!!

Im on old system

Secondly , how accurate is the payment calculator you can download .?
You can claim for one housing cost or the other - not both. If you tell the

CSA now that you have a mortgage, then either they will take it from the

current date or from the date you move in (depending what lender puts on the

form you hand in or letter you send later to CSA as evidence).

You don't need proof to write a letter though.

Just can't guarantee date CSA will use.

Council tax is not a major problem - moving house, so needing a new bill.

Then you could miss the first payment without penalty, so possibly August or

September for the first payment you have to make if you move in June.

If you pay CSA less than they demand (with menaces, as Fletcher would

probably say), then you are risking a DEO being applied on your wages. Same

with missing the payment.

Not a lot I can suggest offhand, apart from talk to lender. Easier to talk

to than CSA anyway. Others may be able to suggest different ideas.

The payment calculator - if its the one from www.childsupportanalysis.co.uk

or www.nacsa.co.uk then its moderately accurate for simple things, so long

as you enter the right information.

Not sure Barry has updated them for current benefit rates, but at worst they

will be only a couple of years out.

Best way of checking accuracy is enter your current assessment details in,

see how far off it is (always presuming CSA assessment is right of course).
