Kiss' Gene Simmons Teaches Class At U.C.L.A. ?

Kiss singer-bassist Gene Simmons entered the world of academia last
week when he addressed a class at the U.C.L.A. Extension. The three-hour
course, titled "There's No People Like Show People: Communicating With
Creative Professionals In The Entertainment Business," took place Thursday
(October 25), and featured Simmons explaining to the class how art and
commerce are not mutually exclusive, and how important marketing and
promotion are to any successful venture.

Simmons releases his autobiography, Kiss And Make-Up, on December 11.
With Simmons's entertainment industry deal-making (TV shows, movies,
comic books, and merchandising, among other things), and singer-guitarist
Paul Stanley's hip surgery, there's no word on where or when the next Kiss
shows will take place.

I'm in complete agreeance with you there, Lori. Check out
http://www.genesimmons.com and look at all the irons Gene has in the fire --
none of them have anything to do with KISS or music. I have to admit I *am*
interested in reading his autobiography, however.

I think he likes MORE than just for people to pay attention to what he says...more
like what he does with his tongue :-)

Oh, I'm curious about the book, too. But you have to keep in mind that, like
everything else Gene has said, you can only believe about half of it! ;-/

QUESTION: We just have to ask--how long is your tongue?

GENE SIMMONS: Long enough to make you forget any man you've ever known. You
will forget your name. You will become religious. You will say, "Oh, my God."
And I will say, "I could be." It's also got a spin and dry cycle. Available for
bar mitzvahs, weddings, you name it.
