Smoothbeam acne treatment in Vogue

I just read the article in the new Vogue about laser acne treatments.
Sounds very very promising. I read about Clearlight ages ago but still
haven't met anyone who's had a treatment. The much more exciting news was
Smoothbeam which is a laser that apparently destroys oil glands on a
microscopic level. It appears to be as effective as Accutane, only with no
side effects aside from some slight redness. It also seems to work very well
on depressed acne scars.

Does anyone have experience with Smoothbeam? I know it's a laser that's
already in use for wrinkles.

I guess I'm so excited because I have my usual PMS crop of chin zits and no
matter what I do, my skin is always as slick as butter.

BTW, I accidentally took a bit too much cold medicine and I'm as hyper as
I've ever been in my life. I'm making plans to BUY a smoothbeam laser and
clear the world of acne my own self.
I am doing the Smoothbeam laser. I have had two treatments so far and have
4 more to go. So far I don't think I can tell a difference. I am doing it
more for acne scarring but if it makes my skin less oily then that's even
better!!! The doctor is actually using three lasers on me. The Smoothbeam
and Nd: Yag lasers are used for nonablative skin rejuvenation and for the
treatment of acne scars. The third laser is the Pulsed Dye Sclerolaser for
the redmarks and slight rosacea. The doctor suggests that you have a
microdermabrasion before the laser treatments but the lasers treatments
alone are very expensive so I haven't done that yet. I might try it before
my next treatment to get better results. This is probably more information
then you wanted but I am excited about it but so far I really haven't
noticed that I am any less oily.
