Is swarovski crystal beads worth it?
I'm new to this beading thing and am noticing that the swarv beads are out
there. Are they worth it or are they just an expensive designer bead and I
can get the same quality from another bead?
There is NOTHING like a Swarovski bead. They are the best, they add a unique
sparkle no one else can. They are extremely high quality....try to find the
best prices you can, but they are definitely worth it. The colors are
consistent -- rich and beautiful. Extremely dependabe quality and beauty
Swarovski crystals are definitely a superior product.
Are they worth it? Yes. Do you need to spend that much to get something
beautiful? No. They are not the best for all applications, and they are
not preferred by everyone. There are wonderful Czech faceted beads in
wonderful colors. Unless you can afford to spend for nothing but the best
I'm fairly new to beading too. I recently went to a reputable bead store
and bought ten 4mm swarovski bicones and ten 4mm czech bicones. I mixed
them up on my hand and I couldn't tell them apart. My OH (outlaw
husband) couldn't tell them apart either.
4mm is pretty small. Maybe I would be able to tell larger sizes apart.
I gather that using Swarovski allows you to command higher prices for
your jewelry, so they might be worth it for that
