Skincare recs needed...

I really need to invest in a new line of skincare and would like some
advice. I have tried samples of Kinerase but can't decide if it's really
worth the money. At what age does one usually use 'age prevention'
products? I feel I should use something with SPF but do you need to
double up on sun protection? If your foundation (bare minerals SPF 15)
already has SPF does your eye and face cream also need it?

I would like some recs for combination skin, few but occasional
breakouts, some undereye puffiness. I would like to have a moisturizer
and an eye cream, at least. Possibly a lip treatment too.

I see that the Kinerase line has a cream w/ SPF 15, an eye cream and a
lip cream but is it really worth the money?? Also, is there a
moisturizer out there with SPF that doesn't feel greasy, plastic-y or
heavy?
The rule of thumb with skin care or cosmetics is that if one product on
your face has a sunscreen, that's all you need. Having said that, I
myself, use a moisturizer with a sunscreen and a foundation with a
sunscreen, even though I know that I really don't need to have both
with sunscreen. As long as one product has one, then you are covered.
You don't say how old you are, but you are obviously concerned about
protecting your skin from aging and sunscreen is the most important
component in order to slow down the aging process. If you don't want
to spend a ton of money on skin care (and you can if you have the
money) and you want easy access to skin care, you can try Oil Of Olay's
Regenerist line which has comprable ingredients to much more expensive
skin care products like Strivectin. If you want to try something a
little more high end, you can pick up the Serious Skin Care line at
Ulta (either the store or at Ulta.com). For aging skin their Vitamin C
and Vitamin A lines are very good. They also make a skin cream for
skin that breaks out occasionally, but is still moisturizing. Eye
cream is a necessity. There are no oil glands in the skin directly
beneath and above your eyes and you really need to use a cream designed
just for that area. Frankly, you can use your eye cream around your
mouth area and your neck area too if you want to eliminate having to
purchase separate products. The thing I really like about the Serious
Skin Care line is you can purchase a try-me kit first to see if it
works for you. If not, then you haven't really invested all that much
money and you can move on to something else.
