Mamiya or Bronica one example about Student Loan Finder?

I had a chance to buy a a Mamiya RB67 outfit for $750. It was in great
condition. The only problem is I wouldn't have had the money until the next
day. I went back to the store the next day and it was sold. :-( They have
several other RB's but they're all over $1,500, which is a bit too pricey since
I'm still a student. They have several Bronica outfits for $675-950. I guess my
question is this: I have little-to-no experience with Bronicas. Are they
considered to be great in the medium format field like Mamiyas are?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
-Bronica's are good systems. My advice for what its worth is to take a long
hard look at what kind of photograhpy you want to do then match the
equipment to it.
-I don't know which Bronica system you are talking about but I will tell you
what I like and dislike about the systems. I own a Bronica ETRSi which I
like because it handles like a 35mm with the speed grip. I like getting 30
shots on a roll of 220 film and the AE2 prism finder has so far given me
excellent exposures. I bought the entire system used off e-bay in pieces
and so far I have had to service 2 magazines @ about $100 a piece because of
spacing problems. I understand that this is one of the more common repairs
with Bronica. I also own a Mamiya RB and I'm a pretty strong guy but after
a few minutes of holding this tank my arms are shaking. I only like using
this camera with a tripod. What I like about it is the negatives. They are
beautiful to print and are as sharp or sharper than the Hasselblad negatives
I shoot at work. I find the Mamiya lenses are excellent. I owned an old
Mamiya C330 that took just as sharp, if not sharper images than the 'Blad.
These are just my opinions and experiences. Ask if you could rent them for
a day from the store and try them out.
