As an American student trying to enroll overseas, I've learned the hard
way that money is hard to come by. But assuming you're a foreign student
trying to get over here, well, you're in luck. While you're not eligible
for any federal money, most large banks here are ready to consider
student loans for international students enrolling at American colleges
and universities. Generally they require at least one (possibly two)
U.S. citizen or permanant resident co-signers. The International
Education Finance Corporation (look it up on a web browser) also lends
to foreign students. If that doesn't work, you might try an
international bank, like the HSBC.
