Sterling Silver Sapphire Ring, (sorta OT) Men's Rings

The ring I want has to be quite "normal" looking, cause he has to
wear it to work. I was hoping to get a simple silver band, with a
sapphire or other blue stone set in it.
Go into your local reputable jeweller and have it custom made. If they
can't custom make it for you, they'll be able to recommend someone that
can.
I had my husband's ring custom made for him. It's a plain gold band, but
I know the shape he wanted and just couldn't find that shape anywhere.
It actually doesn't have to cost more to have it custom made.
I wouldn't suggest having it custom made by someone online. With
something as important as this, do it in person. Particularly
considering the short time span you're working with.

You won't find sapphire set in sterling silver.
Sapphire is a precious stone and most jewelers will only set
it in gold/white gold or platinum. Kinda like, the sterling
silver isn't good enough for such a great stone, because it
is such a soft metal. If you're in it for the long haul,
white gold is your best bet. I had a sterling silver
wedding band the first time I was married, and it was
utterly destroyed in a year. That should have been an omen
to me, but I digress! ROFL! My husband has a unique band,
from www.titaniumcommitment.com. Titanium is cool because
it's white, but it's a dark metal. Light and
indestructable...but yeah, whatever you get will be most
unique if you have it custom made, and you might save money
too, like we did on my wedding rings. :-)

Have you tried your local neopagan shop? I found a ring for one of my partners
at Ritual Arts in Allston, MA; it is a wide silver band inset with an iolite
(purply/blue stone)with ripples around the setting-it looks beautiful on him:)
My other partner's ring also came from a pagan shop; two stacked silver bands
topped with a star sapphire (Shadow Realm in Columbus OH)--Also looks
gorgeous:)

Eventually I'd like to upgrade, but since we are not currently made of money,
these are beautiful-just like their wearers:)

(As for other sources, you might want to try Past Times or Signals or some of
the other historical catalogs (whose websites escape me right now)
