Diamond Earrings
I stopped by a jewelry store with the intention of looking for some
different earrings. The gold hoops somehow look a little large with my hair
up in a pony tail.
I saw some diamond earrings that really caught my attention. However I had
doubts about there acceptability about daily wear to an office. Some how I
think of them as special occasion jewelry.
Any thoughts?
I have two different sets of diamond studs--one set is a 1.5ct(each) pair of
radiant cut diamonds, and the other is a 1 ct (each) brilliant (round) cut.
These are my staples along with pearl studs and there are others in the
office who wear similar jewelry.
I have two pairs of diamond earrings which I wear every single day. My staple
pair are tiny diamond flower studs.
I wear diamond studs in the daytime. I know my grandmother
is rolling over in her southern grave, but I do it anyway.
I have 4 pairs of diamond studs, in varying sizes. They are the only
earrings I ever wear and I work in a fairly conservative environment.
Indeed, I can't imagine wearing anything else. Many other employees in my
office wear diamond studs as well.
My mom recently dismantled 3 sort-of-crummy vintage engagement rings (my dad
used to have a pawn shop) and had earrings made for me. I have two holes in
one ear, so I asked for a single stud to go in the extra hole. The settings
are polished white gold bezels. The pair of earrings is bezel set but
mounted on tiny French wires. (There is a locking hinge that holds the
earring in place. I think it is referred to as a French wire.) Anyway, the
earrings are still very petite, dangling ever so slightly below the lobe.
