Have any of you ordered Silver Jewelry from Fire Mountain Gems?
I wanted to ask .... have any of you ordered Silver Jewelry from Fire Mountain Gems? I
just placed my first order, online and have to say, I will definitely order
through their 800 number next time, because it took WAY too long to do it
over the web.
Just wanted to know if they shipped quickly and if everything arrived in
order. Were you satisfied with the items, such as quality, size, etc.?
Have any of you had any problems with them? If so, what were they?
Do you order from any other jewelry supplier, or would you say they're one
of the best? And last but not least, how do you feel about their prices?
By the way, you may see this post in a few other newsgroups, such as
jewelry, etc... because I'm trying to get everyone's opinion.
-I've ordered from Fire Mountain several times. I've
never had an order messed up. They usually have
everything in stock - very rarely do items get back ordered.
I only had one problem with an item, and they were happy
to replace it. Their prices are comparable to other jeweler
supply catalogs and they have a good selection. They
publish a super nice color catalog, which makes phone
ordering a breeze.
-I've ordered many things from Fire Mountain and had no problems. Very
friendly and helpful folks.
The prices have changed signifiucantly since last year. Quantities used to
break at around 4 (or maybe 5) and again at 6-10 items. I've noticed the
current catalogs are heading for 5 and then 25 on gemstone beads and other
items. (Mostly I order "other" items, so no big deal.
-I just tried to order a few items via their website (went into Xpress
Ordering) and after entering my source code from my catalog and entering the
item number it kept coming up with "item not found". I finally just picked
items at random to enter and kept getting the same message. Now I am going
to have to hand write out my order and fax it to them (I don't trust
ordering over the phone too much - no written record of it).
Fustrating to say the least.
Now, I have ordered from their website before, but when I am looking for
specific items, I figured it would be faster to use the Xpress Ordering.....
