Does anyone know the best way / place to buy wholesale silver jewelry
in Thailand? Any tips would be appreciated
-Silver, gold etc. is sold by the 'baht weight'. There are two 'baht' to an
ounce so when shopping around negotiate for the best price in Thai
baht(money) for a 'baht' (1/2 oz.weight) of silver. It really isn't as
confusing as I just made it sound.
-Be prepared to get your ass kicked if you don't find some reliable way to
have everything you buy tested somehow. I bought a silver bracelet at MBK
abt. 5 yrs. ago. - nope, silver plated aluminum. ditto (or probably no
silver at all) w. broch near Oriental Hotel, altough there it was clear to
me before i bought.
