Signs of depression... ?
I have just realised that when I am headed 'downhill' towards a bout of
depression or just being down... I get obsessive about the housework...
lmao... what a trigger point/sign!!!
Anyone else got any 'trigger signs' that you 'know' you're headed downhill
emotionally? I know most of us at times 'struggle' from day to day.
Housework is one of my signs as well. Another one for me is overwhelming
tiredness, when I was really bad a few months ago I would find myself lying on
the floor while K played around me.
Its good that you can recognise a trigger. Gives you a chance to nip it in the
bud, I hope you can. Look after yourself.
I get weepy, fatigued, and have absolutely no motivation for anything. I
hadn't thought about it, but I might have to see if housework or similar
activities are a trigger. Usually, I figure I'm doing pretty good when I
have the energy and motivation to do a lot of housework!

and that you can laugh at it all. Depression is no fun!
Oh heck I'm obsessive about everything when I'm heading down the loop. I
also know I excessively worry about everything.
These are traits I normally have but they are much much exaggerated when I'm
depressed.
Considering everything you have been going through lately Sue, the fact that
you have managed to stay so with it this long is amazing. You are, even if
you don't know it yourself, a very strong person. A lot of ppl would have
crumbled into little tiny pieces under your recent burden. Be proud of
yourself.
Well I'm back. It was waaaay spencive but worth it I think. She gave me a
rx for Elavil. We'll try that for 4 weeks and see how I'm doing. They drew
blood for a slew of tests including Thyroid to make sure that's not where my
depression is coming from. She also gave me a rx for Clariton and a bunch
of samples for my sinus problems. As far as the gyn exam, we'll do that
when I go back in 4 weeks. All in all I'm pleased with the outcome. I made
Garrett's appt. for his 4 year check up and got a phone number to call about
applying for the healthy kids program again. A fairly productive day over
all.
