UPDATE - Sexual Harassment charges against teenage boys stillstanding

I think the boys are suitably educated that what they did
being unacceptable.
And the girls who were swatting boys on the butt?

Do you think that, having gotten away with it cleanly,
without being put in jail and threatened with sex offender
registration like the boys who were doing exactly the
same thing -- they have been suitably educated?

I haven't read enough specifics about the case to be positive of what
I'm
about to say but: from what I gather there were some boys and girls who
> > were behaving poorly - all of them should be punished AT THE SCHOOL. I

were

> So -- what do you think are the chances of this prosecutor
> actually going after the girl-perps as well as the boys?

News Report from KGW TV News - August 15, 2007

Two McMinnville middle school students will go to trial for harassment,
accused of spanking female classmate.

A judge threw out some evidence Wednesday because he believes they did
not understand their Miranda rights, but ruled late in the day that a
trial will go forth, likely starting next week.

Wednesday morning, Judge John Collins decided to supress confessions the
boys made during interviews with officers, but their parents and
attorneys were not present at the time. Their parents had argued that
the boys were unfairly interrogated by a police officer and the Patton
Middle School Vice Principal.

Meantime, the defense has also accused prosecutors of withholding
evidence.

The two are accused of swatting the bottoms and poking or grabbing the
breasts of classmates, as well as engaging in "party boy" dancing
inspired by the movie "Jackass."
