Secured Credit Cards with Bad Debt?
Could someone help!
I do not have any ccj's but have been 'marked' by a large bank as a credit
risk. I have made arangements with them to make repayments and am
maintaining these.
I have been offered a position in the USA that pays highly but will require
a Credit Card to pay for my initial claimable expences. I believe that it is
possible that I may be able to obtain Secured Credit cards but can not find
any address or Web sites.
Does anyone kow who offers this service?
It used to be possible to buy secured credit cards over the counter, at
US banks and airports. Unfortunately, US money laundering regulations
have resulted in most card companies discontinuing them and the
remainder tightening up considerably on their issue.
Western Union and Wells Fargo Bank are two of the companies who used to
issue them and would be able to tell you whether and on what terms they
are still available. I believe both have web sites.
The internet is rife with scams relating to offers of secured credit
cards. Don't part with money other than direct to a recognised bank - I
have yet to hear of *anyone* who has paid an introduction/membership fee
to *any* third party and actually received a card.
