Anybody with luck reaching SBC customer service?
Anybody with luck reaching SBC customer service? Everytime I call them, I'm
on hold, seemingly forever. (I'm calling 1-877-dsl5 for billing inquiry.)
So I sent email and no response other than automatic reply for more than a
month. Any suggestions on how to reach them other than heep calling and
holding on to the phone till they answer?
Try the administrative offices at 800-303-3000. Tell them that you want a live
person without delay as you are preparing to file a complaint with the PUC.
I've always used 1-800-NET-HELP with no problems.
However, if it's DSL related, the VRS spins off another
number to call.
This isn't what you want to hear but SBC customer service is, in my experience,
remarkably, irredeemably poor. I got into it with them recently after they
shanghaied my DSL connectivity, and i never did get any kind of reasonable
solution to the problem.
I even sent a certified letter detailing my complaints to an EVP of customer
relations, whose only response, six weeks later, was a computer-generated
postcard that said "tough" in only a few more syllables than that. No i don't
still have the EVP's address, but you might want to go to www.sbcsucks.com or a
similar site (i'd wager there are more than one . . . .) to see what ideas they
have about how to escalate your complaints.
I was assuming that the original poster was talking about phone
service.
