Where do people generally get additionaly, ongoing DSP Sales Training Class from?
It seems like those offered by manufacturers and distributors
seem to be more sales related (meetings) than truly
informational and learning.

-some possibilities include universities and dsp conferences .... but
most of my ongoing training has come from sitting in front of a
computer, deciphering papers and other research, and most importantly,
writing code.

- Most of us can also read (some
without moving our lips) so books, magazines, journals, and periodicals
serve this purpose. Symposia in nice places are popular.
Most of us like to think of DSP as a higher mental activity that
requires ongoing learning. Training is for dogs, soldiers, and
marketing executives. The truly lazy of us, try to create the cutting
edge because that way they avoid the hard task of trying to figure out
what another person has done, instead people will try to figure out what
those inventors have done.

-We (Momentum data Systems) run DSP classes that are far from sales
pitches.

We have 3-day classes on Digital Filters, ADSP-218x and TriMedia.

The sort of content with which we deal can be seen in the on-line free
class at:

In my experience, manufacturers' classes are not really sales pitches
either - though they can get a bit dull when they start presenting the
user manual slide by slide.

- There is a company in California that presents
a 3-day DSP course for engineers (primarily for
RF engineers and software engineers).

The course has received very high evaluations
from past students.
