Hunter Safety Training Course, can anyone can help me?
Just wondering if things would be different if all schools were like
the on my daughter attends where the whole 6th grade is taking a hunter
safety training course. She is learning proper gun handling, safe and
unsafe methods of hunting, courtisy to landowners, conservation, game
management and much more.
After the course she will be eligable for a hunting licence in
accordance to the states laws.
I doubt she will ever hunt, but that will be her choice. At least
she will come away with a lot more knowledge than most of the animal
rights activists.
Is this unique or are there other schools with similar policies?
We all took a hunter safety course at my military school. Personally, I
think they should be mandatory in all schools. It taught me things even my
rifle coach failed to mention. And, it was fun to watch the classic "Shoot-
Don't Shoot!" hunting accident film.
