I irritated a mortgage salesman...
I'd replied to several mortgage spams, hoping to cost some mortgage salesmen
money, back in October and November. After a while, I got tired of that
game, and quit.
Lo and behold, I got a call this afternoon from a mortgage salesman who said
he got my information off lenderscompete.com. Needless to say, I'd never
posted there, so it must have been posted by a mortgage spammer.
He was quite unhappy when he discovered that I wasn't interested in a
mortgage at all. I spent some time discussing spam with him - including the
fact that it's illegal in Minnesota - and recommending that he obtain his
leads somewhere reputable.
At the end, he gave me the phone number of the source he got it from. I
thought the folks here might like to pursue it: (888) 250-4130. I haven't
called yet, and am debating whether I should or not.
