After much thought, I'm considering buying a repossessed manufactured home
But before I commit to that decision, I need a few questions answered. FYI, in
New Mexico, where I'm moving, sales tax on a manufactured home is 5.75%, or
right around that amount. As you can imagine, that could add a lot to the
purchase price, and you don't have to pay that tax on a repossessed home.
Can a repo be as good an investment as a brand new home?
What specific questions should I ask about repos?
Should the price of a repo include delivery and set-up?
- I was talking with a dealer near me who repossesses and
re-sells Mfd homes.
Almost always the house has several problems that seem to be common:
1. No maintainence was preformed
2. Damage to fixures and walls
3. Carpeting badly
