Philosophy Skin Care Q's
Last night I finally succumbed to the urge to go to Nordstrom's and check out
the Philosophy line. As I expected, I fell in love with everything. I bought
The Present and Quick Change (makeup remover).
So far, I love The Present (and we'll see how my skin reacts over a bit of
time). Quick Change dissolved my makeup well, but for the eyes, I think I
prefer Origins Well Off, because it didn't make them sting. Ah well. It's
still good, though.
I'm just wondering who has used what skin care products from the line. I'm
especially interested in On a Clear Day, Real Purity, Shelter, and the blemish
creams and gels.
I have combination skin that tends to get oily looking in the T-zone during the
day, but will get dry on the cheeks if I use too harsh a cleanser. I'm trying
to think in a blemish-prevention vein, since I'm also hunting down the perfect
transfer-resistant foundation, which can make me more prone to breakouts.
-I love the Philosophy line.....I've tried--
*Real Purity- love this, smells great, cleans well and extremeley gentle
*Hope in a Jar- also great. Slightly fruity scent, absorbs well and light
creamy texture.
*The Present- like a satin slip for the face. Oil-free and the *best* makeup
base
*Shelter- nice, very matte....good for the summer. SPF 15.
*Deeply Superficial- wonderful. The smell and colour I don't like but it
exfoliates wonderfully and leaves the skin smooth with a nice glow.
*Stuck in the Mud- a great all-around clay mask. Fragrance-free, good for
weekly cleansing.
*Out of Control- the most effective spot treatment I've ever used, but DON'T go
overboard. A dab'll do ya (trust me, it's peels galore if you overdose)
-I have the Real Purity & Wiped Out cleanser, (doesn't sting, removes
my makeup), Hope in a Bottle, the Present, Kiss Me, Never let them
see you shine, Stressed Out, Stuck in the Mud &
Quick Change (love this, great for cleaning face before workout).
So far I have no complaints or I should say my face doesn't
with these products and skin is looking better, (combo-sensitive).
