Pevonia RS2/Dry Skin

RS2 (cleanser. toner and cream) for three days and had to discontinue using it because it
irritated (made redder, flakier and itchy) my *very dry* rosacea skin.

It was a disappointment because the products really improved my overall skin (non-rosacea
areas) making it softer and smoother. I even thought it reduced redness at first but then the
flare-up prone areas flared up again. So far only tepid water followed with a few drops of
jojoba oil underneath a thick application of cetaphil moisturizer seem to keep my skin from
being patchy, bumpy. flaky and itchy.

I remember reading here somewhere (in Artist's post I think) that one of the ingredients
(hazelnut oil) had astringent properties. It's a wonder that any company could claim to
manufacture a product for 'rosacea' since our skin varies so much (oily to dry...)!

I'm glad that the Pevonia RS2 has worked for others (I wonder if the people who it is working
for have very dry skin?). I also had to discontinue the SA Sea Kelp for the same reason.

Which leads me to my next question - what cleaners and moisturizers are the very dry and
sensitive rosaceans using?
the rosacea Pevonia line irritates me too.

I use:

Neostrata facial cleanser 4%
Skinceuticals face cream (day)
Neova creme de la copper (night)

You can look at these products at dermatologistrx.com. That's where I buy mine. Expensive, I know.

Please remember to use only one product at a time so that you can tell exactly what is agreeing
with or aggravating your skin.
