BLACK CARS: COP MAGNETS?
My wife used to drive a black Dodge Shadow. One night my wife and her
mom were out late ~1:00 AM heading to a perkins. They were crusing down
the interstate at or below the speed limit. A group of cars went past
her and a state trooper. The trooper pulled out and followed her off the
exit ramp and pulled her over. The officer said she was weaving (she and
her mom said she wasn't). She was let go without a ticket.
I had a friend I used to work with that owened a black Feiro. He had
been drinking one night (probably most nights) and was pulled over
because he was driving at or below the speed limit. He received a DUI
and spent 3 days in jail
I guess if you own a black car and you are driving late at night don't
drive too slow or the speed limit. Also try to run with a croud.
I had always heard that red cars were "cop magnets". Also, I suspect
that the cop was suspicious of a black car at 1am (although around here
(Washington, DC) the roads are still crowded at 1am. Or possibly the
cop was attracted to your wife! My sister has been pulled over to be
asked out by a cop!! I've heard about this happening to other females as
well.
But, I think it's more likely that the cops were bored and wanted
something to do. Cops like to pull people over just to see what they
will find.
