Tourist card: Accomodation Havana , example about Personal Budget Tip?
In order to obtain a tourist card from the Cuban consulate in the
Netherlands, I have to provide them with an address of a Hotel were
I'll be staying for at least the first night. I just booked a
campingflight so I don't have a clue!
Anyone got a (budget) tip ?
I have not been to Havana but am planning to asap. From all the
personal webpages I have read, and from the friends of mine that have
been there, it looks like you can give the address of any likely hotel.
It seems that they do not actually verify that you have a reservation.
At one time there was an AOL'er that maintained a large list of "casas
particulares", but I can no longer find her webpage. I think these
"casas" are like boarding houses run by private citizens and would be a
great way to save money. If I can find this webpage again, I'll post it
here as my budget tip.
