Personal Budget Sheets,info???
I have some questions regarding the copies of the budgets. How specific
are the budget sheets. Do they mention the specific groups that the
moneys are being allocated to in benevelance? Second, does the church
allow its members to look at its checking statements and checks that have
cleared through the bank?
The reason I asked is because I used to help with a church budget. I have
quite a few questions about the way this congregation handled its
finances. It gave a budget sheet, but it was very vague. I asked one of
the leaders to see a record of the checks that have cleared through. He
was very nervous about this.
As far as specific checks go, I think they would let a member see "the
books", on a case by case issue.
As far as benevolence goes, the church usually gave to families in need or
special projects to feed the poor, etc.
If I were a leader, I wouldn't show this to just anyone! And certainly not
gives copies out. There are people out there these monies go to at times
(single parent families etc. due to hardship) who are not interested in
having there personal lives posted into newsgroup such as this.
This is so strange as ICC prides itself on knowing and loving each
disciple and their needs. There shouldn't be any shyness about
disclosing personal data since ICC members should already be aware about
the situation; that is, if you are a "real" disciple.
