In accordance with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, each newly
hired Federal employee, transfer from another Federal agency, or former
Federal employee hired after a break in Federal service, must arrange for
direct deposit of his/her pay to a financial institution within 30 days of
entrance on duty. A request for waiver based on extenuating circumstances
may be submitted within 30 days of entrance on duty. Requests will be
reviewed on a case-by-case basis; however, approvals will be rare.
Operation of a Government vehicle required; therefore, valid State driver's
license is required. Driving record will be verified prior to final
selection.
Applicant selected required to obtain successful preemployment physical
examination by licensed physician certifying to his/her ability to perform
duties of the position. Not required if comparable examination required
for placement in current position.
PALISADES DAM GOVERNMENT CAMP (elev. 5400 ft) (Idaho Falls, ID) is adjacent
to the Snake River, 56 miles from Idaho Falls. There are 3-bedroom houses
with unattached garages at the camp. Private housing is available for sale
or rent in or near 3 small local communities. Children beyond 8th grade
are bused 56 miles to Idaho Falls.
Negotiated pay rate of $23.51 per hour. Government housing may be
available at the time of selection for this position. Payment of moving
expenses, but not the services of a relocation company, will be authorized
in accordance with regulations.
