Has anyone actually done the 'online traffic school' thing, and if so, what was it like?

It WAS going to be a nice weekend in La Jolla, until Mr. CHP decided he
didn't like (and I quote) "my attitude" (this before I had uttered a single
word, and I'm very respectful of sworn personnel). I wasn't even driving
aggressively, just a little fast (if you call following traffic at 80MPH in
the carpool lane "fast"). I figure he just doesn't like anyone who drives a
sportscar.
I won't fight the citation because I was technically speeding. I've
never done traffic school of any kind, but I don't want to lose the 'safe
driver discount' from my insurance company (they already get a pound of
flesh a year out of me).
Has anyone actually done the 'online traffic school' thing, and if so,
what was it like? Is it any better/worse than blowing a weekend day in some
cement building watching car crash videos?

I did online traffic school about 6 months ago.
I thought it was very easy, educational, and fitted well into my schedule. The
way it worked for me was.....you read an instructional text, and then take a
quiz. If you pass the quiz, you move on to the next section. If you think you
know the subject already, you can skip the text and go take the quiz. If you
fail the quiz, you go back and pick out the answers and retake the quiz. So
you can take the course slow or fast.
