student teaching special education

I have a teacher's aide in my building who has her B.A. from a
regionally accredited college and has completed all course requirements
of NJ Dept of Ed to get certified as a special education teacher. All
she needs is her student teaching. However, the local state colleges
will not simply let her register for student teaching without
fullfilling additional course requirements. Does anyone know of any
college which is regionally accredited that might allow this person to
simply register for special education student teaching. The college
need not be in NJ

Sorry, but all teacher education programs require specific time in
residence to stay accredited. Her best bet would have been talking to the
dept. chair at the local state college. Clearly that didn't work. I'm
curious how she finished all the coursework. Part of her problem is that
it sounds like she was never admitted to a credential program. Most states
(all?) have specific guidelines that must be followed in that process.
These guidelines include specific G.P.A., , applying to/being accepted by
an accredited teacher education program, type of undergraduate degree,
time in residence, possibly GRE scores, previous course work required,
etcetera.
