Who has best online mortgage rates?
Who has best online mortgage rates?Anyone use Amerisave?
We're going to be refinancing, so I've been comparing the mortgage rates and
closing costs of the major online mortgage companies (Indymac, e-loan,
countrywide, ditech, etc.). I've also been trying to do research on the Net
to find articles or objective third-party ratings on which lenders offer the
best rates, with decent service, and surprisingly have found very little
objective info.
The best mortgage rates I've been able to find is at www.Amerisave.net .
However, I can't find hardly any information about the company online (such
as reviews by satisfied or unsatisfied customers). And although Amerisave's
combination of rates and closing costs always seem to be below all their
competitors, and their Web site seems to be upfront about all the costs, and
they offer the same guarantees that the big online lenders do, Amerisave.net
is a mortgage broker and I'm wondering how their rates and closing costs can
be lower than a company that originates its own mortgages? Don't you always
pay higher costs when going through a broker because the broker is basically
a middle man?
