The online MS CRM solution

I have built a SQL db that is a non-transactional system to store
information about the different properties (inspections, amenities, etc). Is
the online MS CRM solution built to where when a contact turns into a sale, it can
be "ported" to that system? I am assuming that it runs on SQL but not sure.
Extending upon that, I think I may need to get a new accounting system.
Great Plains was on my list. Does CRM play well with Great Plains?

I wish I knew more about what the system needed to do. Hopefully, in the
coming days, I will get a little more direction as to where to go with this
project. Then I may have more in depth questions.

I appreciate the tidbit about the powerful PC as opposed to placing the site
on my SBS.

There is an online demo there as well.

You should realize that CRM is a product which falls under Microsoft
Business Solutions (MBS). They have newsgroups as well, but in my
experience, you will not get the same level of help as you get here.

Also, not all Microsoft Partners are MBS partners.
MBS related software can only be purchased through MBS partners. They can
do some very interesting things regarding financing the software, new
hardware and if needed MBS consulting/implementation from an MBS partner.
You should contact your nearest Microsoft Office for help in finding a
partner. Following is a link for the Atlanta office:

Microsoft CRM is quite a resource hog - you may even end up substantially
upsizing your server just to get it to run. You might be better off with
some of the "lesser" contact management systems including Act!, Maximizer,
Goldmine, etc.
