Filing bankruptcy online ?
Can an individual file a chapter 7 bankruptcy online. Is there any
requirement to submit anything in hardcopy with a signature
Electronic filing is probably available in all bankruptcy courts, but I know
I had to take training before I could use the system. Regarding
hardcopy/signatures: Within 15 days of an electronic filing the court must
receive an original Declaration re Electronic Filing (perhaps called
different things in the various districts) and Declaration of Social
Security Number with an inked signatures. Check the website for your local
bankruptcy court for details.
