NYS Income Tax?
I'm just about to file my NYS Non resident income tax return and I am
furious that NY seem to think they are entitled to not only the income I
earned in NY but also all income I have. The joke is they have you fill
out two columms, the NY column and the federal column and then they only
use the federal column. Talk about Nazi Gestapo tactics, I moved out of
NY too bad I can't make a living somewhere else because they just don't
give you a break. They don't even allow a deduction for yourself or your
wife and only $1,000 per dependent what a joke.
Well I have vented some of my frustration and thanks to all who listened,
if anyone has any ideas, or if I have made any mistakes please email me
proportion of that tax based on the ratio of your NY income to your Federal
income, as evidenced by the ratio of the column b amount to the column a
amount.
