No Credit Check Loan

I have been in the USA since March 2001, came here on a K1.

I have no credit history in the USA, I have in the UK and all is well there.

Any ideas on how to go about getting a credit history???

Every time I apply for something I get turned down because I have no credit

history!!
I saw one guy suggest once that you deposit $1,000 in a savings account,

then take out a secured loan against it. A week or 2 later, take the

$1,000 to another bank and do the same. Repeat the process until you've

established about 6 accounts and taken out 6 loans. Then go back to the

first bank and repay the loan. A week or 2 later go to the 2nd bank and

repay that loan, and so on. Don't forget to make timely payments on the

loans while all of this is going on. By the time you've completed the

process a record of the loans should start appearing at the credit

bureaus and you have a credit history.

Alternatively, this September, after my wife had been in the USA for not

quite a year, she started getting unsolicited offers for credit card

accounts. I don't know where they found her name, and she stills uses

her maiden name not my surname. Some of these applications ask

incredibly few questions about your financial circumstances. The first

one she replied to gave her a $500 credit limit with no interest for 6

months. She was unemployed at the time. The 2nd one I selected for her

to reply to offered 8.99% interest on balance transfers and an on-line

application process with immediate acceptance. She is employed now, but

in a low-paying job, so we identified her employer and gave our total

household income (that's what they asked for) but did not mention my

name at all. She asked for a $3,800 balance transfer from my exorbitant

21% interest Sears account. Sure enough, immediate acceptance came

through and with a $6,500 credit limit!
