Product Review
I've been buying new makeup and skin care like a maniac the past
couple of months, but haven't gotten around to posting any reviews.
I'll try to remedy that situation this week...
First off, I'll tell you about my experience with PTR stuff. I got a
chance to visit the Charlotte Sephora in early November and, on the
recommendation of a friend, tried the PTR Oil-Free Moisturizer and the
AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel.
I've been using the moisturizer morning and evening, and the Acne Gel
at night. I like both products very very much. My skin is quite a bit
smoother than it was a couple of months ago.
The products are expensive, in my opinion. Both products were about 40
bucks each, but I've been using them for six weeks or so now, and
there is still a lot left. I'll probably be able to use the
moisturizer for at least 3-4 months and the acne gel for even longer.
I have very, very oily skin that is also very, very sensitive. Most of
the lines that other people use with great success (like Clarins) do
nothing for me or cause irritation. My biggest skin problem, aside
from the oiliness, is that my face gets very red and irritated and
dull looking from most stuff. I get bumps along the border separating
the oily t-zone from the normal areas of my face. These have mostly
gone away. My skin is still quite pink, but now it looks more like a
healthy glow rather than irritation. I'll probably buy these products
again, and may even try more of the line.
I was using L'oreal and Neutrogena skin care stuff previously, and had
some limited success with those lines. In fact, I still use the facial
cleansers (Shine Free Foaming Face Wash and Gentle Foaming Cleanser
from L'oreal, and Fresh Foaming Cleanser from Neutrogena) with the
-I use PTR 12% AHA Ceramide gel, and i like it very much. I do see a slight
difference in this compared to Alpha Hydrox 10% oil free gel, but I do think
the products are major expensive! Don't know if I would buy this again, just
because it is so much $$$. We'll see how long the bottle lasts me and then
I'll decide.
-I LOVE this stuff. Works really well, and my skin looks much better in morning
after using this. I also used the Alpha Hydrox 10% oil free gel, and noticed NO
difference in my skin at all. Didn't do a thing, where this works wonders!
