I wonder if he had Drivers Ed? IMO,under 18's should not have DLs unless they have had DE.

IMO,most drivers HAVE been "trained" to drive properly,it's just that they
let their skills degrade or just don't care and are going to do what they
want(MFFY).
I remember driver's ed. This is what I remember. We watched a lot of films
that would get an NC-17 rating for excessive gory violence. We had driving
simulators that acted nothing like a real car. For example, approaching an
exit, tap lightly on the brake pedal at 50 MPH on a simulated straight
stretch of highway in good weather and the simulated family sedan would
instantly do a series of 360s and roll over in the ditch, exploding in a
huge fireball. Awww yes, good ole' driver's ed. Scare the shit out of
teenagers and hope they never want to get behind the wheel. Even as a
teenager, I knew that driver's ed was a joke. NOTHING you will "learn" in
driver's ed applies IN ANY WAY to normal everyday driving.
If you think under 18's should not have driver's licenses, tell me who you
think should be teaching new drivers how to drive. Think about WHAT ELSE
adults do around the time that they turn 18. Do you want new drivers to
learn from their equally clueless peers? At 18, the parents are pretty much
out of the picture.
