Development Setup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM

I'm tasked with developing a telephony client integration with Microsoft
Dynamics Crm similar in concept to Avaya's.

In that regard, I need to start by getting a basic CRM test and development
setup.

My plan is to use Virtual PC on my 2003 server to create a separate 2003
environment to run CRM server + DB. I would then run CRM clients on my main
2003 server environment.

Does that make sense?

In that regard, are there any good blogs or past postings that someone can
point me to that gives the details from the point of installing the OS
through installing components needed for CRM Server + DB as well as CRM
Clients? There are a lot of pieces that need to be setup and configured.

Finally, I have MSDN Universal. What software do I need to purchase for
testing and developing with CRM that aren't part of MSDN?
Lets start in reverse everything should be included in your MSDN
subscription. Basic components - Win2k3 server (or SBS), IIS, SQL Server,
Active Directory, and if email is required Exchange 2003.

You best starting point would be to download a copy os the MSCRM
installation Guide

If you need any further assistance let me know.
