Microsoft Crm 3.0 The Greatest!! Microsoft Crm Review
Dynmics CRM 3.0 is the answer to my prayers!! I have looked at so many
solutions...
Web based: What happens if a web based CRM company pulls an Enron or
Wolrdcom?? Do you think they care about all your contacts??Potential to be a
show stopper for your company...
ACT/Goldmine: ACT! wil slow any pc down to a crawl...not even big blue has
enough computing poweer to handle it...Goldmine has its quirks...
So I blindly sold CRM 3.0 to a customer as a I remember I went to some MS
conference about 3 years ago (2002) about a CRM product and I was impressed
then...so as I rushed home to install CRM 3.0 into a virtual environement...I
installed CRM 3.0 without reading any manuals on best practices etc...this
approach in my opinion lets you know how difficult the installation is....and
the installation on the server was prett smooth...almost idiot proof...I then
went to the workstation and installed the Outlook desktop client...also
pretty smooth install....almost idiot proof....I got some errors of CRM not
being able to load....so googled the error and then simply created a role
based user in the CRM deployment console...and logged onto a workstation as
that user....Worked like a charm!! The product has everything I was hoping
for with the ease of use and intuitive GUI. All contact information plus all
documsnets, contracts, sales meetings, follow ups...etc are all located in 1
central place.....my customer currently has an access database with 5 fields
to store some customer info while the rest is paper based...once I show him
this I will have a custome for life...this is why I like Microsoft! Except
for SBS NT4.5 (HORROR stories that no war has ever encountered) I LOVE
MICORSOFT!!! KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK!!! CRM 3.0 IS the answer to the
current gap in the market!!! I am going to make a real push on this....
One big question I have:
How do you migrate Contact Information into CRM3.0 and what formats does the
import support?
There is a data migration framework under development right now. My
understanging (through rumors and assumptions) is that this will be
available within the next few months. I assume it will look similar to the
1.2 migration framework which if you want a rough idea you can chek out at:
