Man Jewelry Box

I have a real interest in vintage jewelry having seen some beautiful pieces
at estate sales that I bought for myself but was just wondering if any of
you sell vintage jewelry on Ebay or Yahoo and if you do well with it?

Any suggestion/advice for me???
I've never done particularly well with costume jewelry
(and have never sold any real jewelry). The problem
isn't so much the item, but the competition. If you
have an outstanding "signed" pieces, you may do
well (check to see how that manufacturer's pieces
are doing).

One category of jewelry I recently did quite well on:
part of my collection of patriotic jewelry. Of course,
since this was my own collection, I didn't really
make a profit but at least recouped my investment.

I recently held an AFA auction for 30+ pieces (actually
38 pieces) of vintage jewelry, some signed, and
it sold for $36.98 (half of what I had originally
invested - but it doesn't matter in this case).

One day I was looking for a box in the pile by the dumpster at the flea
market. I saw one the size I wanted and tried to pick it up. It was full of
stuff. I took it back to my booth and emptied it out. I made oiver $100 out
ofd that box.

I changed the old saying to: One mans trash is another man's income.
