I don't know alot about the laws on wills and things but I thought his part should of went to his hiers?
My dad died when I was 4 yrs old and his mother died 7 yrs later and
in her will my dad was to recieve a childs part of her estate but his
other siblings had his name taken out of the will(since he was
deased). I dunno alot about the laws on wills and things but I thought
his part should of went to his hiers? am I correct in believing this
and if so is there anything that I can do now? it has been 23 yrs
since her death. And I found out in later yrs that my grandmother had
a savings account in mine and her name and the date of withdrawal on
the account was after her death and needless to say the entire account
was withdrawn and closed..... can anyone give me any advice or send me
in the right direction of someone with information that I could use
to help me find some answers.
-Yes, unless the will has very unusual language cutting off any
pre-deceased children's descendants as heirs. The usual presumption
in most states is that the pre-deceased child's share will be
distributed to _his_ children.
