I am making a jewelry box out of walnut,Does any one have any ideas?

I am making a jewelry box out of walnut. I was just wondering if anyone had an
idea as to what finish would work nicely for it? I do not want to put a thick
shiny finish on it. So I am considering a Danish oil finish for it, so that
you can feel the wood. Does any one have any other ideas that you can pass
along?
- I have just just finished (no pun intended) a large jewelry box made from
walnut, with a inlay border around the top. I used the natural color
Danish Oil (WATCO) on in with about 3 coats. I find this works well for keeping
the natural look and feel. I also have made quite a few 'INCRA' boxes from
maple and some mixed flavor of inlay strips. For these I like to use the
Bartleys varnish.
- I took 3rd prize at the orange county fair this year for a walnut & oak
piece finshed this way.
