Italian Fashion Jewelry
My always generous mom is going on vacation to italy in a few weeks
and keeps asking me what I would like her to get for me. She has great
taste and deep pockets but I don't know what the deals ( if any) are,
can anyone offer any tips ? I have interest in
Designer bags ( prada, fendi) maybe shoes, casual dinnerware, jewelry.
She's not into the whole bath & body, perfume stuff that I am so I am
sticking to 'durables'.
Gold jewelry takes up little packing space. There are great costume
jewelry designers too. I always fall for a new handbag when I am in
Italy. Silk scarves are another wonderful find. Glass from Murano can
be shipped directly to you.
I agree. I had a friend who picked out a Murano chandelier directly at the
factory, had it made to order and shipped to him. It is a most beautiful
piece. I am the proud recipient of a couple of pieces myself and I love it!
there are lot of jewelry stores in Italy (modern jewelry is
lovely too there), some of them specialize in antique, and you can
really find lovely things for reasonable prices, IME. I don't have
addresses, when I go to Italy I just walk around and find stuff
