Ingredients you should avoid!

I just wanted to share some information to the ladies who wear makeup, I'm
new here and don't know if anyone has shared this or not but I certainly
didn't know about these thing until recently. There are some ingredients
you should avoid in your makeup and skin care products. You might want to
check your own products out to see if it contains any of these ingredients.

Mineral Oil: An oil product derived from petroleum (crude oil), a
stabilizing ingredient used in many skin care formulas. It forms a film on
the skin, blocking the pores and interfering with the normal skin
respiration, not only drying the skin, but contributing to blemishes. Not
only does it dry the skin, it also leeches out free radical fighters,
Vitamin A, C, and E from your skin.

Petroleum (petrolatum): An oil product that does not penetrate the skin, but
is sits on the surface, blocking natural respiration, excretion and
absorption of other nutrients.

Waxes: (Beeswax, Paraffin, Candelilla, Carnauba): Sticky sealants that
attract pollutants, dirt and bacteria to skin as they seal the pores.

Solvent alcohol, soap, and acetone: They strip the skin of its protective
acid mantle, drying the skin. Soap and acetone also leave the pores
exposed, allowing bacterial growth in the pores.

Just thought this was interesting and wanted to share it with everyone.
all I can say is that I use products regularly that contain mineral oil
and beeswax, and they do not contribute to acne. I also use petrolatum-based
products occasionally for spot treatment and again, no bad side-effects. As
for avoiding solvent alcohol -- well good luck because MANY products contain
alcohol due to the fact that certain ingredients are insoluble in water alone.
The alcohol is a required in those cases.
