Free Tenant Credit Check
I'm looking for recommendations for on-line tenant screening credit
report services. I want a service that will send me a credit report on
a prospective tenant that has given me written approval. The form with
this written authorization could be gaxed to the credit report service.
I own one rental house which fortunately has been fully leased over the
last nine years to only two different tenants. I think I'll be looking
for my third tenant this summer. The last time I had to get credit reports
(in 1996) it was a pain of playing phone tag. As described, I only need
this credit report service every once in a blue moon.
www.mrlandlord.com has a tenant screening service available and is very
reasonable. They also have a landlord message board and many free landlord
tools.
You need to be aware that if you make rental decisions based on credit
records or other information from a screening agency that you are subject
to the requiremants of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
