I agree that these are to be avoided unless you are in a "a very
serious
financial scrape". They can be a trap.
That said, if someone finds they need to do these kinds of loans more
than once for a major emergency, there is a bigger problem at hand that
must be addressed. Do you need to get another part time job to cover
expenses? How can you cut back on expenses to make ends meet? You need
to solve the cash shortage problem. not keep taking loans.
