Free Credit Report Florida
https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp
Looks like and endless loop to me. I went to the above link and tried
clicking on TransUnion. Then there is a whole bunch of crap about buying a
credit report, but after searching and searching I found a tiny little link
on the page to the free report option. That link contains information about
various ways to qualify for a free report, or the ability to automatically
qualify if you live in one of about 10 states that are listed. Then it says
if you don't meet any of the above criteria, and want to receive a free
credit report, click on the link to, guess what? -- annualcreditreport.com !
It's a bogus empty loop, and the people who created annualcreditreport.com
(who claim that their goal is to help everyone get a free copy of their
credit report) should be ashamed. My guess is that they make money on every
person who links to the three credit agencies through their website and
purchases anything.
Before you posted the above link, did you try it?
Whats the big mystery? When I first used the site there was no attempt at
hiding who is running the site, who better to supply the credit report, than
the companies themselves. Why do you have a problem with supplying your
personal information to people who already have it? It is a simple and
effective way to verify your identity, so the credit report is not
mistakenly supplied to the wrong person.
Why shouldn't a business promote itself on a website that they pay to
maintain to disperse the free credit reports? None of the three agencies are
a non-profit, as far as I know. They have services to sell, if they can reel
in a few customers while supplying the free report, hell, I have no problem
with that.
Finally;
No, I am in no way associated with the site linked above, nor any of the 3
credit reporting agencies. I am just a guy, who got his free credit report
online. If you don't care to share your personal information with them, then
don't. But, I think you'll have a great deal of difficulty getting any
credit report at all, free or otherwise, without doing so.
In Summary: Someone asked for the link, I supplied it, it works. Use it at
your own risk
