I wanted to do silver engraved jewelry boxes. What should I do?

It seems everytime I think of something someone tells me it's not a good
idea or it seems great in my head but not doable when I go for it. '
I wanted to do silver engraved jewelry boxes. Then I wanted to do a dif perfume for each girl. Chanel for my
Maid of Honor and some other nice one's for each brd.md. and also have a
pretty, silver perfume bottle for them too. there aren't any
silver perfume bottles that I can find! So I was thinking maybe a
crystal one. What do you think?
-Well, I got a silver jewelry box as a BM gift, and the bride asked me
what initials I preferred *if* she were to purchase personalized gifts
(I wouldn't do it that way, but I wasn't offended by it either).
Initials are good if they are married, but that can be a problem if they
are not. You could do just their first initial. I do use the jewelry
box, but I also have at least 5 other small jewelry boxes (like many
women). I don't know how many women use perfune bottles. They sound
nice, but would they actually use them? Also, how do you know what kind
of perfume they like? I am very particualr about my fragrances (I only
like 2), and some people are allergic to certain ones. Unless you know
all this information, it will be hard to shop for.
Here are a few ideas of nice things that they can use:
- a small crystal bud vase
- stationary set (paper, envelopes, pen, seals) possibly personalized
- I got my BMs small crystal clocks with a brass name plate on them --
they were perfect for a nightstand or bathroom (I got them at Things
Remembered)
- personalized gifts to fit their tastes (sewing, sports, dog-lover,
etc...)
Think about a gift that you would like to get and would actually use.
Practical gifts are better than those that really have no use but are
pretty to look at. I prefer silver or crystal gifts because they are
lasting, but I wouldn't get them anything they cannot use. Picture
frames are nice too, and you can put a picture of you with them (not
necessarily at the wedding) in the frame.

-The only people I know who use champagne glasses use them for drinking out of.
Generally, they do not care to have their name engraved upon them.
